“Kinisis” by Kontaki Design, Exposition in Paris

Kinisis means movement.

Movement is the attempt to give shape to the inertia of objects.
It is the effort we make to revive from our memory the sentiments and the shapes deformed by
oblivion.
Objects tend to escape from the forms we have enforced on them. We follow and attempt to offer
our respect for their choices. We strive to coexist with them, to share their world and to give them
the opportunity to converse with us and among themselves.
Respecting the error and its extension to the boundaries nature makes, allows the freedom of
creating fantasy worlds, by bridging the nostalgic past time with the cold present reality.
In this way, the feeling attached to the object allows us to travel in time, motivates our imagination
and our world of sentiments and classifies the object as a necessary part of our life.
We determine the object to be the inspirational catalyst for us to comprehend the environment
around us and especially the moment we realize that we spend the greater part of our life inside
this space. (or inside this world)
Our attempt to arrest the activity of objects and to reduce them to just articles of day-to-day usage,
ignoring their existence in our living space, indicates the deceptive inertia of nature and and alienates
us, all the more, towards the sphere of selfish human superiority and isolation.

Spiros Kontakis bouge. A 18.00 heures.
